Industrial visits are an integral part of management studies at MBA@IICMR. The objective is to give our MBA students a hand on experience of the practical workings of the industry which will help in enhancing their practical understandings of the different functional roles in an organization.
Industrial Visit at MBA@IICMR
Since experiential learning is the fastest form of learning and which can be retained by human mind for a longer period of time, MBA@IICMR organizes 3 visits per semester, i.e. 6 visits in a year for First and Second year MBA students.
The visit is planned with an intention to give practical on-site knowledge to the students, who are preparing their career journey and are developing for the Industry, as their future workforce. The students learn through the practical approach and through the discussion with different Business head viz, Finance, Operations, and HR. The Discussion and Interaction with the business Head provide enough knowledge to the students about the company, its Products, its market share, Strategies best Practices and career opportunities.
The plant visit gives a fairer idea to the students of the actual shop floor process and, Quality circles and time management. For companies as well, it becomes a branding activity to ensure their future procurement needs.
- Students preferred for the visit are selected on basis of their attendance and sincerity.
The number would be 40 students and 2 teachers.
Students are well in advance declared the Name of the company for them to prepare their brief questionnaire.
After the visit, the students are expected to submit a report about their observations and learning, which helps in measuring the desired outcome.
