Role Play activity is conducted by the subject teachers along with regular lectures to enable in depth understanding of basics of the subject. One of the recent role play activity was conducted on the theme " Marketing VS Market"

The activity included a real-life situation and with the help of role play the students were able to gain a better understanding about the concept of Marketing, types of Market, it`s importance, parameters, and factors affecting Marketing and Market.

It was a good attempt made by the faculty and students as some students played a role of customer, one became the Brand Manager and few became sales managers. Different types of Market situations were created by the students which gave a clear understanding of the topic. The best part of this activity was students were able to give answers to the questions asked by the faculty in a spontaneous and confident way. This proves that the outcome of the activity was achieved.

Case Study

A case study on Decision Science for the topics Assignment Model, Transportation Model, Queuing Theory, Simulation, and Linear Programming Model gave a simplified view of complex concepts. The students were divided into groups and each group was given a different case study. Under the guidance of the assigned faculty the students solve the case study within the stipulated time and present it to the other group members.

This activity proved to be very useful for the students because they understood the practical application of the theory in a very effective way.

The topic was based on Economic Analysis for Business Decisions. Such activities help build confidence and develop presentation skill.

A simple activity of balloons was taken by the faculty in which the team members were expected to blow the balloon and then protect the balloons of team members from getting burst by others. The outcome of this activity was, development of good bonding among the groups and realization of the strength rather focused team work.

Thematic Presentation

Organisation Behaviour

Another innovative method of Teaching & Learning is Thematic Presentation. One such presentation was conducted for the subject "Organizational Behavior" on the topic "Leadership".

IICMR Today

Background

In the current dynamic business world, holistic development of MBA graduates is necessary. A student is exposed to case studies, industrial training, consultancy, research and interaction with industry leaders. But this alone does not serve the purpose. Hence, IICMR attempts to keep the students abreast with the knowledge of current happenings in the socio-economic scenario through IICMR Today.

IICMR Today exposes the student with business decisions practically. When a student enters the corporate arena, it is important to efficiently identify various issues and come out with the best possible solutions to tackle them through their multifaceted skill sets.

Learning Diary

Learning diary is a handbook or a small report submitted by the student. It displays the students learning and understanding through curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The students share experiences through participation, volunteering and coordinating during different events through this diary. New acquired knowledge can be linked to existing knowledge and experiences. Assessment of learning diary is done on the basis of creativity, written communication, learning, content and out of box thinking.
